Spanish Inheritance Procedures

Spanish Inheritance following a death is very complicated compared to other countries. Timings and years of experience are important.

We ensure the whole Spanish inheritance process is undertaken to maximise tax and other cost savings. We can handle everything for you without the need to visit Spain, or via your UK based Solicitor. All in plain English, including our Spanish legal and tax expertise.

In the meantime we can also ensure that any client owning a property in Spain has an up to date Spanish Will.

Accountancy Services
(tax affairs, business/self employed startup)

We no longer have an in-house Accountant, but we have a close association with Chartered Spanish Accountants in Alicante who can handle all personal, business and self-employed set up, registration and ongoing management. Services include book keeping, tax returns, problem solving, and everything in between. Spain has possibly one of the most complicated and bureaucratic tax systems in the world. We can introduce you to our Accountancy Partners for advice.

Legal advice:
We strongly recommended that you choose an independent lawyer who specialises in Spanish land law (urbanismo). Independent means that they work on your behalf only and are not looking after the interests of the agent or developer.
The Spanish property conveyancing system is different to the UK system so you should ensure that those involved in the transaction are qualified and experienced in Spain.
Use extreme caution if an estate agent, promoter or lawyer urges you to cut corners to save money or time.

We have our own exclusive currency exchange facility regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).  You do not have to open a separate account with a separate FX currency company as normal - we can exchange your currency for you in-house and completely free of charge.

​We also offer SPANISH ESCROW SERVICES whereby we can act as your 3rd party Agent to process your Spanish property sale or purchase funds (subject to basic conditions).
